Camp Koinonia - June 1
"Worship felt intergenerational and reflective on past years while still being rooted in the present and what Koinonia continues to offer to guest groups and campers.
Beautiful afternoon of connection with new and old, complete with delicious lunch outside and activity options for all to participate in.
Having the site full of people that have cared for Koino in the past decades and those that continue to care for Koinonia financially, physically and through prayers, brought a tangible gratitude to this space - one that I hope fuels the giving and support for years to come. God's good work is flowing through this place - we are grateful to steward it."
Camp Assiniboia - June 14
It was a full day of fun, food, and music.
People enjoyed all the activities available at camp: ropes, swimming, kayaking, games, crafts, walks in the woods.
As a special dinner treat, Phil Campbell-Enns and team took raw potatoes from the bag to the plate via the outdoor Camp Assiniboia cauldron for that real homemade french fry experience. It was a visual, gastronomical experience.
Then we met in the lodge for music: first Ava Campbell-Enns, Will Harder, and Carrie Schulz led us in some camp favourites, and then Winnipeg’s own Janzen Boys—a rootsy, harmony-rich folk trio took the stage and entertained us. Kathy G MC'd, so we laughed, we cried, we called it a great day.
